Something to celebrate
As the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) celebrates 100 years it cannot be denied that it has overseen the greatest urban migration in history as over 600 million people have moved away from rural farming into the great cities to drive the Chinese Industrial revolution that has made China the factory of the world.

Before considering the challenges that an ebullient China presents it is important to keep a perspective and consider the breadth of Chinese society including those left behind by the great changes and to see the people that are still vulnerable. Why China will not become a dominant power
Xi Jinping has consolidated his position of power in China and put his own stamp on policy direction. Gone is the concept of a peaceful force for good to expand trade and enable poorer nations to increase their wealth by providing raw materials to the China factory. Now it is clearly stated that anyone or nation that opposes China's (aka Xie Jinping) will face direct confrontation - China will not be bullied - a Chinese version of Make China Great Again. With one man making the final decision from a platform of unapproachable power comes reminders of others who have followed that route.
